Thank all of you who gave advice on the blossom crack. We are keeping a close eye on it and doing what we can. I sure hope it will be able to heal over.
This is my sons first pumpkin he has grown. Estimated at 540 lbs. Thats a pretty good one for his first time. He says he gives it a pep talk every now and then to keep it growing. It must be working since this thing somehow continues to grow even though the plant looks very tired. Maybe I should talk to my pumpkin a little more too ;-)
