Olwen the 1059 McGill is now the 617 est dmg Young 2012. The cross is 1059 x 77 Young(993 VM x 1059 VM. This should produce beautiful pumpkins. We have had 5 out of 6 pumpkins split in this area of the patch. Next year we will probably turn it in to a second long gourd trellis if we can't sort out what the problem is. I can't believe that it is just luck when it has happened so often and splits are 3 stem splits and 2 blossum end splits. We did get around 500 good seeds from her though which I may try next year.
