Cut open the split pumpkin and as it turns out it was not a BES but rather a split on a dill ring. You can see the crack in the picture, it ran around the entire pumpkin. It was just a matter of time. Had nice thick walls other than the crack. Can't help but think that this was grower caused by letting the plant get to dry a while back. Got a ton of 1789 x self seeds from it.
