Yanked grafted melon out last night,flowers on females did not open on the first 3 fruit.then stump starting turning brown,to risky to be in the Melon Cave(plus yellow fleck in leafs) with the sisters.Filled a large trash can with plant(13X13) & hauled to the neighbors down the street to go with comm. compost.Poliinated the 291 Kent X 260.5 this am about 50 feet of vine on plant melon set 7-8 feet on mv.Did an Actinovate soil drench on entire grafted melon area.Will let the sisters have more space.94 days till weigh-off,lots of time .hoping for a hot(warm) September.
