I intended to grow with * 800 Neilly squash and let it take half of the patch at my moms but some early stem damage almost put it out completely. I put one of my 218's next to it in case it didn't make it. The 218 developed its own split vine so I kept them both. Now they both have healed and are wayyyyy behind so not having the heart to pull either I am growing them both out in a small flag pattern to see what I can get.. maybe a saleable 218 and a possible genetic cross with the *800. I would like to cross with the Dyberry Patch guys *895 Hester that he has this year. It will be a late pollination attempt so time will tell. Here are the 2 plants side by side.
