And here is where my giant onion attempt stops for this year. At 3.47 lbs its hardly a contender, but considerering that i have gotten a long day variety to bulb in the wrong climate for it, i,m pretty happy. A steep learning curve this first try and i will be much better prepared for next season. I will have to time growth diffrently then northern growers and start much earlier. Also learned much about light, feeding, watering and pests. All in all a fun attempt at a addicting veggie to grow. A store bought onion next to it shows you that although no contender and small to the serious growers standard, it is somewhat of giant,,,lets just call it a little giant, lol.
