Time to start the 2012 Diary I guess. With the summer temperatures teasing us in March in Northeastern Pa it was easy to get excited about this years prospects of growing something big this year. I had done my traditional compost bartering for a big pumpkin with one of our neighboring farmers and had it delivered last fall to the patch. Good Friend Dr. Tim Barber Jellyfinger brought over his Kubota to help spread the stuff, subsoil it to help with the drainage and a final till to mix it all in. My hopes are the patch drains better this year.. my plants get more than 2 vines per plant and I can compete with that Dyberry patch guy and the Envious Orange guy since my nemesis Rocky seems to be "hooked on fishing" again. Here is the good Dr. spreading the stuff at my home patch.
