Well there you go then, were down to just one pumpkin ,but to be fair it is just plodding along and doing OK.
On day 69 she tapes 756lbs up 109lbs for the week and if she tapes between 900 and 1000lbs at the end we will be more than happy.
When we chose a seed, the way we look at it, is this.
If there are 100 seeds in a pumpkin 10 will be amazing 10 will be rubbish and the rest you can work out for yourself. The thing is, no one knows which off the 100 seeds you will get which means you have no control of that part of the deal. What we do have, is control of how well we grow the plants, so that is our main priority and our plants are getting better and better ever year. So at some time in the future it should be “Happy days”.
I had a go at taping the melons for Mehdi but just got frustrated, so I hung up one of the nets and I recon they are about 15lbs ISH.
