The vine just to the left of the stem is now split open completely from the stem all the way down to the next node. It seemed pretty good before it got rained on, so I'm sure it will look bad tomorrow. The pumpkin cranks along though, and I'm pretty sure there is no rot anywhere near the stem. Notice how I threw the word "pretty" in there - that's how confident I am. I know this will have to be cut off at the pumpkin eventually, it's just a question of when.
