1059 x 1165 Marsh. Advice needed, the area on the stem where I circled was getting mushy over the past 2 days. I carved out a 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch section of rotted tissue, sprayed with rubbing alcohol, and dusted with Captan. I had a fan on it but the outside outlet shorted out which I hope to fix tomorrow.
Is this a normal area for rot and if you have any other advice please let me know. I really hope it isn't a vine borer entrance wound that went into the kin. That happened last year on a field pumkin and it bore through and came out the side wall of the fruit. Thanks
