took my back up pumpkin to the fair this morning. It weighed 152 lbs, a huge let down after the 740 lbs last year. I pulled the vine and cleared out that side of the patch. Only he 1266 Vanhook is left. The vine is huge but its starting to show its age. Im losing a lot of leaves, theres a big bald spot in the middle. The pumpkin met the 30 day benchmark but just barely. Weight gains have dropped, Im thinking about throwing some ferts to it today.
Oh a happy note my sunflowers are BEAUTIFUL! They didnt bloom in time for the fair but Im kinda glad they didnt. This way I get to enjoy them longer :)
