July 12th - Selfed 856 at 10.5', Today 14th - Selfed 2 856s on east (left) side vines, bringing the total pollinations on the 856 to 5. 2-3 on the 498 to open in about 2 days, two on sides and one on the main at about 11-12 ft, the first one on the 498 shriveled up and died before reaching pollination point but it was only at about 6 ft out.
Peppers are doing great, have one jolokia pepper set and growing that the wind or insects pollinated on one of the early flowers. In about a weeks time they'll be in full out flower mode with about 100 or more flowers opening up. Will do some hand pollinating then as last year I found a lot of flowers produce little if any pollen, but you do find a very odd one with lots and you have to make good use of it.
