Well a lot has changed with my season. I am headed overseas for work. My wife Teresa, and son Johnathon are going to try and get the pumpkins to the scale.

I went ahead and cut the 1622 Liggett. I was still poking along. When I dug it up I saw no rot or anything that looked/smelled bad, but the roots hadn't grown very much at all.

The backup 998.5 was growing better so it won the spot on the 17th.

Pollinated another one at 14 ft on the 1073 Speakman with 1622 Liggett this morning. The one at 10.5 still looks good. Decided to go ahead and cull the first one and put the sand and mill cloth under the one at 10.5 ft before it got too big, and the permanent shade tarp over it. If for some reason it aborts, then the one we pollinated this morning can be turned to sit in the same spot with a little adjusting.

Will pollinate the 922 Young with 998.5 Liggett in the morning.
