The patch was finally dry enough to work last sunday, added some leaves and grass clippings. Had manure added last year too, and it rested all season with no pumpkins. Will be adding some more ammendments around the plants when they go it, hopefully monday. Been so cold lately I've decided to keep them in the pots a little longer, and let the soil warm up. Might be slightly root bound by then, but I'll deal with it, from past experience I think they'd be way more delayed if they were out there right now in the cold. Right now I put them outside everyday in a small coldframe and bring them in at night. I should really invest in some heating cables, but maybe next year.
