Here is one example of what I am doing. The small plant is the 291 Kent. It nearly died from too cold and too wet weather. Then a hail stone knocked off one of it's cots. So it is a very small and struggling plant at the moment. I know it is early and I could wait for this one to grow. However I choose to go with a healthier plant as I want to do early pollination on plants that already have some size to them. The replacement plant is the 162 Holloway.
