The 2011 growing season has started. The heavy carrots and parsnips are up and running.
I hope to concentrate on heavy carrots and tall corn this year as well as a big pumpkin, but in total I'll have a go at 26 classes. I doubt all will make it to the weigh-off, but here is the list I hope to at least start:
amaranth beetroot(heavy) beetroot(long) carrot (heavy) carrot (long) corn cucumber (heavy) cucumber (long) field pumpkin kohlrabi leek long gourd - 2 of these 3: 135 Jacobus / 112.9 Offermann / 121.5 Lyons marrow - 206.5 Wursten melon (long) parsnip (heavy) pepper (heavy) pepper (long) potato pumpkin - 1421 Stelts radish runnerbean rutabaga/swede squash - 1055 Pitura + 767 Johansson (pollinator) sunflower (tall) sunflower (head) tomato - 7.33 Hunt / 5.35 Lyons / 5.18 Lyons / 5.0 Clerinx / 4.59 Lyons
Just a few of each except carrots and corn.
