Hi Gary,
I got the bug to go fishing this morning. How do you like my new boat? She's a little heavy for her size, but she's pretty stable in rough water. I really have got to get a custom boat trailer for next season, but for close by lakes I'll just use my dad's front end loader to launch Edna for now! I soon picked up a couple of water going hitch-hijackers. The guy in the reddish brown shirt got a little mouthy with the captain of the ship & I had to smack him upside the head with an oar. Then I saw his grand-dad standing on the shore (within pistol range). That's when I smacked myself in the head with an oar. We got along better once I realized the guy in the reddish-brown shirt was actually a pretty good fisherman. I knew if we got stranded on a deserted island that we could all survive for a few weeks even if we hadn't caught any fish on this voyage, because we could just eat our ship. It's also pretty comforting that even after you eat your boat, as long as there are some viable seeds from it you can just grow another ship next summer, & sail away!! I'll send more pics after we reach Hawaii.
