howard dill i think would be proud of this picture. this is my buddy and fellow illinois grower ted "the compost king" krueger and 2 pumpkins on the same 993 vincent mcgill plant in 2010. ted is standing by 1010 krueger 2010 and the other one is the 929 krueger 2010. almost one ton of orange on one plant....wow! both are crossed with the 988 janowiak which produces flaming bright shiney orange pumpkins like this one but also has the power of the 1450 wallace in it too. the 988 janowiak is the 670 daigle x 1450 wallace. pictures of the 988 can be seen on the aggc. way to go ted!!!!! seeds from both of these pumpkins will soon be available in our IGPGA seed sale along with 988 Janowiak's and another one grown off the 1059 mcgill that was 1082 lbs estimate and sound but never officially weighed as he donated it to a horticultural show before getting an official weight. the 1082 pic will be on the next post.
