I think I've stopped it. About 2/3 of the stem is left, but I had to scrape quite a bit out of the inside to get rid of the rot. It's been dry for two days. I had to work today, so I didn't spray with peroxide because the sun was almost down by the time I got home and I didn't want it to be wet all night. I will flush it very well with peroxide tomorrow and let dry. I finally found some powdered sulfur. It has some copper sulfate in it too. After it dries some I will pack it with that and see if it will keep it drier than captan has been. I have heard that it does.
