With the perfect pumpkin weather continuing checking our Honesdale pumpkins feels like it should be the first week in September, not August. There is a long way to go for sure. It seems that a couple of fruit are standing out as the chosen ones. I am not sure why but it always happens that way. My pumpkins at my main patch are still on the dissapointing side with no huge numbers. If it was not for my new patch it would be a very discouraging year for my as it has been a great run of summer weather. My 1272.5 Hilstosky continues to put on good numbers and has a perfect shape with no sag lines. The numbers are not up to Rocky's yet but I gotta say Rock you better not slow down for too long. This fruit has been a steady grower and 25 lbs a day has been the norm. Here is Alex stuffed in the shelter with the leader of our patch.
