I took a ride this morning to help the Dyberry patch guy adjust his gourd trellis and check out the operation that he performed on what may have been this years, "beast from the east". Rocky was soooooooooooo getting mashed with the numbers on this one. Unfortunately the 1725 developed some vine rot and could not be stopped. Andy's best efforts were not able to control the spreading up the main vine. Andy decided that a huge pumpkin with some healthy vines and fuel behind it is better than nothing at all. We shall see if his experiment works. This thing just needs to coast to hit 4 digits, but it will always be the one that "what may have been". If this thing continued on its normal course who knows how big it may have gotten.
