day 26 CC 76" on 1004 Mohr. I either had a wierd up and down two days 10.5 pounds of growth and then down to 6.5 pounds, or more likely I mismeasured yesterday and both days were around 8.25 pounds or so. Either way things are slowing down and I'm a little disappointed. If things are slowing down I'll be lucky to hit 200. That would be a significant improvement over my previous PB of 94 lbs, which is great. But considering the great seeds and improved patch management I used this year I shouldn't still be in the realm of pumpkin sizes that store bought seed growers get. It could be related to heat but there are some growers in the Sacramento area that have hit the 900-1,000 lb zone and their climate is close to what we have here in Fresno. Obviously there are some things I'm still not doing right to reach the great seed's potential. It could be I haven't ammended my soil adequately. Also I might need to use more heat stress mitigation factors like calcium spray, mulching and mycorrhizae.
