more rain about and and so far so good on the pumpkins holding together with going on 6.5" in less than 36 hours so far with more lining up out west in iowa. measured "stoughton" on the 1147 secondary today at 7 am on day 10 and it is 34.5" circ. go stoughton go. lol. ya never know. is 1000 lbs crazy to dream of on a plant that now has 350 sq ft of new leaves since 7-2 and the old leaves were the original youngest on the plant since it was the backside of the plant after the pumpkin i kept and retrained back around spider style. actually the pumpkin is sitting not to far from where the original stump was located. lol. the entire plant now is basically a clone that is only 60 days old so. far so good and the hardest thing about getting to 1000 with this one will be the amount of juices getting through the smaller secondary and original main vine union. this is the thinniest part where juices from the rest of the plant will come from besides this 25' secondary it sits on with 5 terts 15' long terts right before "stoughton". if i can get one close to 900 lbs estimate, i think genetics will make up for the extra 100 to get to 4 digits. so that is my goal with "stoughton". 350 ott will put it 900 lbs. it has a nice start so far but time will tell.
