Its gonna be one of those days!! Not even 8:00 a.m. yet and Im already bout to pull my hair out!! The fair official came by to tell me we dont have a scale!!! He went to the tobacco warehouse to check the scale only to find out its BROKEN! The scale at the co-op only goes to 300 and apparently there are no other scales around here except truck scales!!! GAH!! We'll have to weigh the trailor, pallet, straps etc THEN load the pumpkin and weigh everything again, subtract the weight of the 'gear' and hope thats the weight of my pumpkin AND its got a 20 lb window.. REALLY!?!?! 20 lbs?!?! 20 lbs is alotta pumpkin people! I simply can not believe that an agricultural county doesnt have a large scale more accurate than that! GRRRR
OH OH and let me not forget to mention that Mable's stem started dripping again today! I brushed away the old paste and added new paste, Im praying it'll hold on a few more days, even if we cant get a truly accurate weight! I never dreamed it would be this big of a problem. I honestly thought getting it lifted and loaded would be my biggest issue.
Todays bonus: my boxer is having surgery to have a mass removed that the vet thinks is cancer.
I should just go back to bed!!
