I didn't keep that 1467 stump dry enough and while weeding/burying vines on it tonight I noticed some foam coming from it. I've heard of the dreaded "foaming stump", and knew it has been a season-ender for many growers, so I ran into the house to call the LaRue's. They haven't had experience with it, but Sherry told me how to do a site search on BP, and I was able to find some good advice from Pap. So, I drilled several holes in it to release all of the water. I then wiped it down inside and out with a bleach solution before drying it with paper towels. Next I hung a lightbulb right over the top of the stump and created a tent over it to keep out any moisture and to lock in the heat tonight. Tomorrow I will get a little fan for the area and look into some fungicide. It looks like I caught it early enough. I hope so, because I have 2 really nice pumpkins on that plant.
