The bad news is the 817.9 Schieder has bit the dust. Just started wilting no matter what. I looked for SVB but didn't find any damage. Started with the extreme heat we've been having 99-100 degrees. Just not able to recover even thought it had row cover on it. Then I thought maybe it got too much water and was drowning but the rest of the patch are doing ok. Then I thought it got some kind of disease but it doesn't matter -it's gone-three plants left..
The good news is I have a female flower on the end of the main of the 895 Grande. Yea! Maybe I'll get one yet! Still a little to close but I'll take it if some male flowers are willing and cull it later if needed.
