So this is final patch size -- now it is trim, trim, trim! This pic was taken around 2PM in the heat of the day. You can see the .5gph misters I have running 5min on and 25min off. And I have no shade cloth up (but will be putting Hail cloth up ASAP, PROMISE!). At this time of season, without misters, leaves would look like sticks from flagging and eventually get leathery and brittle (AKA dead). So this is good news! I didn't want to use shade cloth as sun produces carbs which goes into fruit. The only question is if there is a max amount of lumens they can absorb and thus the rest just contributes to heat damage -- will have to wait the season out for that answer.
