99 degrees yesterday, gonna be hotter today! and humid:( The 1424 is loving it though. A little leaf burn on one or two new leaves but minor damage. I had an invasion of catipillars again!!!!!!!! aaargh. Never had this problem before, ever. And of course when I go organic, they show up! I spent an hour walking through the patch picking them off and smashing them. Must have got 30 or so. Guess I will get a little more air flow in my leaves with the holes lol. Ok, the fruit on day 10 has exploded in growth. It jumped to 4.5 inches growth, pretty impressive. I sit at 26.75 inches circ on day 10.
As for why I am growing organic, my wife is pregnant with out first child, 4 months, so being safe for sure. Hope I can stop this invasion though. Will spray more garlic barrier soon.
