kenny on the 1147 is on the decline hard. 1.5" circ since yesterday means it is still slowly getting some juices from behind the pumpkin, but not much from the established kick ass section in front of it. i will keep it for a halloween pumpkins and let some other pop tert pumpkins set to give away in october. every year one of the plants turns into a halloween pumpkin plant. i thought this was the year i finally got 3 big'ns competing all season. and so much for the largest 15 day measurement pumpkin. kenny powers has lost its power. it is 84-52-53=189 ott on day 20 and estimated 153 lbs. it went from a 10 to 15 day average of 6.5 inches circ per day down to 4.2" per day and only grew 1.5" circ total yesterday so is pretty much toast. better news is April on the 873 is 76.5-52-52=180.5 ott or 135 lbs on day 18. and pulling up the rear is clegg on the 991 that is making a strong push as of late gaining an average of 5.9" circ over the past 5 cooler days and is 78-53-48=179 ott or 132 lbs on day 20. still got 2 good growing pumpkins which is par for the coarse for year in and year out with one plant taking a crap on me. i will take some pics later on. my attitude was ajusted nicely yesterday at bobby's and it is time to nap while we are on strike today and patch work will be done tonight when the sun is lower in the sky.
