here is "April" on the 873 naylor 2009 (1147 shenoha that produced 24% heavy x the 1119 mcmullen that produced 24% heavy) at 6 am on day 13 at 49" circ and has averaged 6 inches exactly per day over the last 3 and grew 6.5 inches circ since yesterday morning at 6 am. the stem splits had some very minor widening but no deepening that i could tell occurred overnight by the captan filled wound showing a very slight crack in the center while widening. again, still no weeping from these shallow cracks and more of a superficial widening on top as the stem grows larger. the splits are on the right side of the stem away from the stump and have not affected any growth so far for sure with this thing chugging off 6.5 inches circ since yesterday. but i do need to keep an eye on the area to complete the healing process with this crazy growth rate. you can see it is blocked under the stem and main and also the mains are blocked and 3 taps on each side cut with a very loose main. the fan in the picture will run as long as needed during the healing, growth, and healing process. tyson naylor goes by meat57 here on bp.com. not a bad idea to pick up one of these 873s for next year. this plant has been a beast all year and is showing her stuff pumping out an average of 6" per day so early on and jumping to 6.5 yesterday. hoping to return the favor and do you proud Meat. and i think (and hope) the small splits will be fine in the long run, but i still like to post all my info for my own records and incase someone else is going through the same thing down the road and can have some reference.
