The 864Kiewiet09, ±13 feet long, open pollination today, one male flower of 568Duchezeau05 is available (and more selfed); no flowers of 1264Ghaye09: the shoots coloured very yellow after an extreme cold weekend with a bit sunshine and I took it out.
Going for two pumkins now, a heavy and a nice one, God and me willing. :-)
The 864Kiewiet09 grows prosperous, but leaves are still small due to some extreme cold weeks in june and a few days allmost without sunshine. Now weather improves and royal +20°c temperatures appears, even a long cherished and wished heathwave is possible!!!
The second plant 568Duchezeau05 in the back behind in the garden has a female flower ready with one week or so, with a very small corner it might bring a nice shiny red coloured but not so big pumpkin.
My wish of pollinating a serious pumpkin candidate at the early end june goes into fullfillment, Willem, again many thanks giving the groudheating element. It had done marvellous!
Now more good luck, and water-water-water, with some extra organic minerals after a while, when it is all big and strong anough....
Good luck too all! :-) So far the frut at the flower is full yellow...
