I came across this battle in the garden today. A 2 foot garter snake had swallowed the right hind leg of the toad, but the toad was still moving across the garden dragging the snake behind. In 15 minutes, the snake hadn't been able to swallow anymore of the toad. I can't believe that the snake was going to be able to swallow this size of a toad, but it wasn't letting go... Pumpkin pics tomorrow. Fertilized with 8 gallons of 36-8-12 for each plant, then sprayed with fungonil.
