Today I buried vines on the 1467 and the 1502. The 1st side vines are against the side of the hoop nearly, and the main tips are getting within 3 feet of the ends. With all of the cold, wind, rain and hail we've been having around here, I'm inclined to keep the hoops over them and lift up the sides where needed to let a few vines out. I also sprayed some Ortho Max on all leaves. The 1191 is getting longer every day and looking good. The 1164's new main vine wants to grow upward just like the old main. I'm afraid to touch it unless the hoop house is 90+ degrees for fear of it snapping again! Yesterday, my husband needed an extention cord, so I gave him one that powered the soil heating cables on the 1502 and 1467. It was very noticable when weeding those cloches how much cooler the soil was. I promptly plugged them back in.
