I’ve not done much with these two plants.
On the right is the 1333 Young 2009 – 1483.5 Werner x 1288 Wallace
To the left is the 1389.5 Rose 2009 – 1370 Rose x 1161 Rodonis.
I like the cross of the 1389.5 better but the plant is not as nice as the 1333. The secondaries of the 1389.5 are reaching for the sky and are not as long as those of the 1333. I’m going to give them a few more days and make a decision.
I tried to research the 1161 that Jerry Rose used to pollinate the 1370 but have not been able to find anything. Does anyone know what happened to the plant?
If anyone has a suggestion feel free to email me, I’m looking for a reason to keep one over the other. I’m currently leaning to keeping the 1389.5 because of the likelihood it will be throw an orange pumpkin. I have considered crossing it with the 1288.5 and doing the reverse cross as well.
Like is said, please email me with any thoughts regarding the two.
