as great as yesterday was, i was a little mad at myself for not preparing correctly for the day. we left for fishing at 6 am and it was cloudy. it got sunnier all day and by 1:30 pm when i got home it got a little to toasty in the greenhouses. i had the upper vents open expecting 68 and cloudy. it hit 74 and was sunny and the lower vents and doors should have been all the way open on both greenouses. the 1147 and 873 showed no signs of the stress but the 991 was the least to like the heat and the first true bright sunshine in 5 days. for what ever reason, only one leaf on the 991 got scorched. it was leathery yesterday and limp and you can see in the picture i have the droopy sides bambooed away from hanging their limp weight on the main tip. i will probably cut off the toasted areas and leave the healthy protions alone. weird not even a burnt edge on any other leaves. it was only 95 degrees in the greenhouses, but the combo of no sun in 5 days and the fact that i didn't water all week cuz it had been cloudy all week long was a little too much for the one 991 leaf. no big deal, but i did learn 2 lessons. all vents and doors open all the way if i am not gonna be home no matter what the weatherman says from this stage on. they were wrong yesterday. number 2, i might have to keep a closer eye on the 991 with warmer temps approaching and get a misting head above this plant for upcoming warmer sunnier days.
