and then there were four. 2 plants just got the whack. the leggy 1147 with th slight split in the mini stump right under ground level and the nice the 873 back up next to the 991. the 901 i think will get the whack soon. very thick kinky vine that is more of a rectangular block than a regular main vine. it is massive, but i have seen this turn into a flat out ribbon that was a mess just like my buddy Timmer's plant some years back. it looked exactly like this 901 with doubles of everything even at the secondaries. i really wanted to do a 901/991 cross this year, but oh well. i am not taking the chance when the 873 is such a nice looking plant. i am going out right now with the knife to do the deed. congratulations Meat, your pony has just won the race. now i hope i can do it justice and take home a big mutha that weighs 24% heavy just like the 873 did. and this is the first illinois cross i have ever grown. with a 1147 shenoha /1119 mcmullen combo and both pumpkin plants in the cross producing 24% heavy pumpkins...i like my chances.
