I was up at 3:30 am Sat morning thinking about what was going on with my first batch of seeds. So I got up at 4:20am and went to check them out. Here is what I did wrong ...
I had mixed some Espomo bio-tone fertilizer with beneficial bacteria in with my promix. What was I thinking !, I new better. I guess since it was a mild dose of (4-3-3) I figured a little would not hurt. Well it did, it killed a few seeds. Must have been high in salts because when I dug a few seeds up out of the promix, the root grew about 1.5 inches and then dried up. I should have experimented with that stuff when I did some trial runs over the winter. Lesson learned !! I did throw out the starter mix, and mixed up a new batch of straight pro mix.
