I made a bone head newbie mistake, actually TWO of them!

1st... I didnt bury up to the seed leaves
2nd... I didnt plant at an angle

now its leaning the opposite direction of what I need it to go and the 2nd true leaf is not really helping to pull it the right way. I put arrows on the pic to show the direction it 'should' run. When will it lay down and run? Its getting pretty tall and I worry about snapping the stem. Should I pile up soil around it past the seed leaf to help support it so it doesnt snap when/if it does lay down to run the right way? Also, do I cut the tendrils or leave em be?
