Talked to Travis on the phone the other day, says he has a 1028 in a pot already, and an extra that was his backup. He was gracious enough to let me give the extra a home. Thank you Travis!
Plan is to pick it up around the 20th to 25th, depending on my work schedule, and get it in the ground beginning of may. He says its in a 5 Gallon pail, cut and taped. Sounds good to me. Now I just need to get my soaker hose buried in the garden before she goes in.
That is the thing about limited space. I got to do everything right, or I will not even get a living pumpkin by the end of the season. My Patch may be limited to genetics patch size, but I want to do better with it than last year. Plan is to self the 1028 seed. Hopefully it will look as pretty as the mother, that is the goal this year. ORANGE.
