OK, so still wavering over seed selection, but work on the patch is underway. Most of the sod is still there, but that should be fixed tomorrow. I know it's a bit late to be starting a new patch, but nothing a bit of manure and gypsum (apparently) can't fix.
I think I'm going with three seeds instead of two as several people have recommended. I'm not really growing for world record size, and if worse comes to worst and one of them is crowding the others I can just pull it.
