Over the last couple weeks we finally did some work in the patch. We cleaned it out, tilled and raked in some winter rye and some "cover crop grade" mycorrhiza from RTI. It should rain tomorrow and the next week so hopefully everything comes up and we don't have to do much else for a few months.
In the upper left corner are the pumpkins cut up and buried. Just beyond that we extended the patch 4-5 feet in width and another 3-4 feet in length.
You can see that the kids were playing electronic "paint ball" in the park next to the patch.
I'll try to post again towards the end of the month. Hopefully the rye has come up by then.
