I spent hours and I mean hours potting up the best 25 onion plants today into 2L pots. They all had very nice root systems and I managed to pot them up without doing too much damage to the leaves. Out of these 25 plants I will only need 15 to grow on for the rest of the year and I’m guessing that they will be ready for their final positions in 6 to 8 weeks time. The plants also look about 6 weeks ahead of last year.
