This is my patch for next year. So far I have added a truck load of partially composted horse manure then planted rye grass in it. Near the back are several plants that sprouted from the seeds of the 200 pound pumpkin that got tilled in. They are growing pretty well. Near the right of the picure, those are collard greens.
