Took my soil sample, will send it off to the lab tomorrow. Then my wife and I went up to a friend's farm and got two pick up truck loads of aged manure compost and added it to the patch. It was full of red worms very good stuff. It came out to be about an inch of soil, then tilled it all in. Still have more compost from the yard and kitchen scraps to add to the patch afte that I will wait to the spring to add the rest of soil amendments.
