Here is the now 1059.6 Vincent McGill 09, on the 4-H float, just before the parade at Wellington on Saturday. The fruit went a little light, about 3%.
It placed second and won the Bill Greer Memorial Award for largest grown in the County, along with the Howard Dill Award. It was a very popular pumpkin!
The Pumpkin was sold to a Matt Brigdon in Kingston. We will go down to retrieve the seeds on October 30th.
A mishap while loading caused the pumpkin to drop about 2 feet, cracking it all the way around...The buyer Still took the pumpkin...thanks Matt!
