The 476 was grown on the 857 Platte and pollinated with the 1028 Johnson. It went a whopping 26% over the estimated weight. The 509.5 was grown on the 603.5 Muller and pollinated with the 763 Biss. It went a bit over 10% above the estimated weight and was voted the prettiest pumpkin at the contest. I got a nice pink ribbon for that and a green one for the squash since it won that category being the only entry. I guess it was the prettiest in it's class too. I love the way they look together with the contrast in color. And who says orange tends to go light? Not if they're a wagon wheel they don't!
