great day at the weighoff and good times had by all. i had a blast until my pumpkin was weighed last and i heard the number 11 coming out of the mc greg slwikas mouth and i instantly knew....big bag of air. 14% light. "it" was a balloon, albeit a pretty balloon, but a balloon never the less. 1173 lbs for "it" on the 1385. first time i ever had a pumpkin go way light as i have been spoiled with 15.4 heavy and 10% heavy the last 2 weigh offs. but like gene gene the pumpkin machine says, "it is what it is". 2 years now gene has topped me on the scales. i may have to take his advice and grow my own seeds cuz "meat"'s 1147 shenoha was estimated at 703 and weighed 873 which was 24% heavy. that was truley the highlight of my day to see that big white rock hit the scales. great job meat!!!!!!!! and thanks. better knews was the 1185 daletas, "freak" went heavy and weighed 1125 lbs. so 2 over 1100 out of 3 plants will have to help me nurse my bruised ego. lol. actually, at least 50 kids so far have sat on the big bag of air and loved it and the people on the highway loved it, and the hot chicks at bobbys loved sitting on it for pics last night til 2 am, so all in all, a fantastic year. and the beginning diary post for 2009 was that no matter what the out come this year, my ultimate goal was to beat georgie boy by at least 1 pound. and i beat him by 4 pounds. lol. there is always next year georgie and the 1st to 1200 for a hundo was a push and we doubled it up for next year. i will take some bobby's tap pics today as the 2 are out front of the bar.
