And then there were two pumpkins left in the patch. My smallest pumpkin that I had been nursing for the last two weeks finally went down to a soft spot yesterday morning. Over 650 pounds of pumpkin goo. Rotten on the inside, and stinky! Spent most of yesterday cleaning out the pumpkin first and then working on clearing the vines. Got most of it, but still more vine clean up to come. The other two are around 750 and 850 plus pounds. Will do a measurement today. Been in the 40's the last couple of nights and looks like we got a light frost. Hubby took some photos of me with the ugly little pumpkin that didn't! LOL. It was all mush on the inside but thick side walls, it was taping over 650 last week.
