We went on vacation and this pumpkin wasn't the one I wanted but it was the only one in a good spot. I tried to straighten the neck out before leaving but after being gone for 9 days the neck was set. But, it's strange how there is a root at the stem. I think this helped! Well maybe not since it cracked.
