No records are going to come out of the patch this year. I honestly think the gophers have taken a large toll on the roots. We also have some mildew on the leaves that is not going to help.
We're learning a lot this year about the new patch, soil and how to better tend and protect the plants in the future. One thing we will change for next year is to only plant 3 plants in the lower area, squeezing 4 has not worked.
